Futuristic fuel: 12 buzzy new menu items feed big Vegas tech show

The CES show, starting this week, is known as technology’s annual crossroads of discovery and exciting tech announcements…Centerplate, foodservice provider at the Las Vegas Convention Center, has created the menu (and new POS systems) to match, with mac ’n cheese cupcakes, Portuguese donuts, meatballs on a stick and more.

Centerplate took over food and catering operations at the Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCVA) about a year ago, and now, renovations in the dining areas and new menu items are coming to fruition, just in time for one of the biggest shows at the LVCVA, CES. New, cutting-edge technologies in a variety of industries are unveiled at this show, which starts this week. More than 170,000 attendees from more than 150 countries are expected. Here’s what the culinary team, led by Executive Chef Stephan Blaser, came up with to fuel the futuristic-minded attendees.
