Carl Fitz, FitzVogt Co-founder, Passes Away

Carl Fitz, co-founder of the Fitz, Vogt & Associates foodservice management firm, died unexpectedly on August 2, 2010 near his home on Pleasant Lake in New London, New Hampshire. He was 68.

Fitz began his career in food service with Saga Foods at the University of Pittsburgh and later served as food service director at Windham College in Putney, Vermont. There he met Roy Vogt, business manager of the college. When Windham College announced its closing in 1977, the two formed Fitz,
