Of the 300 colleges and universities examined by the 2009 College Sustainability Report Card, 91 earned A grades in the Food & Recycling category, the second highest rate of A grades of any category. The report, published by the Sustainable Endowments Institute, also found that more than four in five buy at least some of their food from local sources, three-quarters offer fair trade coffee and other food items and around two thirds offer vegan options on a daily basis.
