Supporters of the College of Agriculture at Chico State University turned to the school's Facebook page to express their concerns over a proposed Meatless Monday initiative.

Students, professors and supporters of the College of Agriculture at Chico State University turned to the school's Facebook page to express their concerns over a proposed Meatless Monday initiative, reports [3] the Orion campus paper. Meatless Mondays, a program already adopted at a number [4] of other [5] universities as well as other onsite location [6]s like hospitals [7] and even K-12 school systems [8], was proposed to Associated Students Dining Services by the Humane Society of the United States. It would require the Sutter Residential Dining Center to provide a completely meat-free menu at one of five food stations on Mondays.
