Elgin (IL) Area School District U-46 is expanding the breakfast cart program piloted [3] at its South Elgin High School in the past two years to all of its eight middle and five high schools, reports [4] the Daily Herald. The carts offer selections like milk, cereal bars, cereal and juice during morning study hall hours.

The second largest district in Illinois, U-46 has an enrollment of more than 40,000 and serves portions of 11 communities in the northwest suburbs of Chicago in Cook, DuPage and Kane Counties.
