Marines to Add New Type of Mobile Field Kitchen

The Marine Corps is preparing to field a new mobile kitchen designed to deliver hot food to troops in some war zone bases, reports [2] the Marine Corps Times. The Expeditionary Field Kitchens (EFKs) from Global Strategies Group North America can each feed up to 500 Marines three times a day and could be deployed before the end of the year. The contract, worth up to $48.2 million calls for at least 112 kitchen systems.
