Perhaps the most popular component of meal plans at Iowa State is the meal bundle, which allows students to take meals in select retail locations by purchasing pre-defined bundles of entrees, sides and drinks. These vary by daypart and venue but offer students an alternative to the all-you-care-to-eat choices available in the residential dining halls.
Bundle-eligible locations include most c-stores, the Memorial Union food court and campus restaurants like Hawthorn Market & Café and Clyde’s Sports Club (lunch and dinner only). The Conversations Dining Center also offers retail bundles for breakfast (it could also become retail at lunch if customers request more retail, says ISU Dining Director Nancy Levandowski).
Generally, the entrée for each defined bundle is set (say, a Burger Meal or Grilled Cheese Meal at Hawthorn) and students can then choose three sides and a drink from a variety of options to complete the meal.
