New legislation permitting colleges in New Jersey to donate food to charitable organizations has been signed by Gov. Chris Christie.

New legislation permitting colleges in New Jersey to donate food to charitable organizations has been signed by Gov. Chris Christie, reports the Daily Targum campus paper of Rutgers University. The legislation patches an already-existing "Food Bank Good Samaritan Act" passéd 30 years ago that had left its applicability to higher education institutions ambiguous.
