University of Maryland Dining Services plans to undertake a $60 million renovation of its four-floor South Campus Dining Hall by 2017 in order to meet newly established codes for disabilities access, fire safety, electrical wiring and sprinkler systems, reports the Diamondback campus paper. Funds for the renovation, which may also include some cosmetic upgrades to the dining area, will come directly from the department’s revenue.
