The UD Dining program has recently introduced new locations such as a Starbucks, Einstein Bros. Bagels and several new or refreshed P.O.D. Express locations around campus. The residential dining program has also been upgraded through the Elevate the Plate program focused on enhanced menus and higher quality ingredients.

In 2015-16, UD will be opening a new, $70 million state-of-the-art residential housing and dining facility with a 1,180-seat residential dining hall and a 300-bed residence hall. Meanwhile, a second residential dining location will be completely renovated and reopened for fall 2015 as well as a new P.O.D. Market with a Subway unit.

Among notable aspects of dining at UD is a station dedicated exclusively to vegetarian and vegan menu items at Pencader, Russell, Rodney and Kent Dining Halls, as well as a station that serves UDairy ice cream at the first three. The primary retail venue is Trabant Food Court with its eight concepts, including Chick-fil-A, Quiznos and Starbucks branded concepts.
