New wellness initiative caters to Duke University campus service staff

Duke’s Making the Connection program incentivizes foodservice employees to get moving for improved health.

In 2016, Duke University in Durham, N.C., launched Healthy Duke, a program to create a safe and healthy environment for learning, working and teaching. One of the program initiatives, Making the Connection, focuses on the health and well-being of the campus’ service workers who fill positions in grounds, housekeeping, housing and dining departments.
