Like the rest of the higher education market, the campus dining program at Central Washington University (CWU) has had to cope with the ramifications of the coronavirus pandemic that curtailed customer counts and forced operational changes. In the case of CWU, it meant an accelerated move into mobile ordering, a severe restriction on in-venue seating and dining that prompted alternative ways to promote (safe) socialization and community building, and revisions of plans on opening new venues
