Elgin (IL) Area School District U-46 is expanding the breakfast cart program piloted at its South Elgin High School in the past two years to all of its eight middle and five high schools, reports the Daily Herald. The carts offer selections like milk, cereal bars, cereal and juice during morning study hall hours.
The second largest district in Illinois, U-46 has an enrollment of more than 40,000 and serves portions of 11 communities in the northwest suburbs of Chicago in Cook, DuPage and Kane Counties.
