K-12 summer feeding programs hit the road

An increasing number of school districts around the country are deploying mobile platforms to extend the reach of their summer feeding programs. These can take the form of retrofitted school buses, converted vans or even out-and-out food trucks. The point is to reach more kids with nutritious meals during the time they are not in school. And that means going where they congregate.
