The Missoula County (MT) Public School District is working with locally based St. Patrick Hospital and its CATCH (Coordinated Approach To Child Health) program on a nutrition education and healthy food signaling system called "Go, Slow, Whoa," reports the Missoulian. "Go, Slow, Whoa" uses green (Go"), yellow ("Slow") and red ("Whoa") magnets placed next to each meal choice listed on a white board that students see as they wait in the cafeteria line to guide them to make healthier meal choices. CATCH representatives worked with the district to tweak the school meal menus to increase their healthfulness, nutrition profile and appeal.
