Sneak preview: Aramark Student Nutrition’s new LTOs for the new school year

August’s LTO bowl holds onto summer with a Sweet Baby Rays sauce-glazed drumstick with bacon collards, cornbread popper bites and a summer penne pasta salad.

Harvest grain bowl

In September, students will try quinoa rice and lentils topped with roasted cinnamon sweet potatoes, broccoli, garbanzo beans, honey-stung popcorn chicken, craisins and feta cheese with a breadstick.

Beef taco totchos

For October, crispy tots are loaded up taco beef, melty cheese sauce, lettuce, fresh pico de gallo, pickled jalapenos and tortilla chips for dipping. 

The gobbler bowl

November’s LTO is a taste of Thanksgiving with housemade roasted turkey and stuffing, gravy, green beans, corn and cranberry sauce with a biscuit. 

Buffalo chicken meatball mac ‘n cheese bowl

Closing out the calendar year spicily, the December LTO bowl combines several craveable dishes into one bowl: Melty mac ‘n cheese as a base topped with buffalo-sauced chicken meatballs and a sprinkle of bleu cheese with a side of carrots and celery with ranch for dipping.

New smoothies

And the new school year will feature eight new smoothie recipes: cranberry-orange, tropical, strawberry-banana, blueberry-banana, berry banana, peach, cranberry-grape and apple-cinnamon.
