A Board of Education committee has requested proposals to have an outside company manage the foodservice program at the Toledo (OH) Public Schools, reports the Toledo Blade. Aramark was the only company to respond. The district is looking to possibly bring back hot meal service and expand the meaning of healthier options. The program has recently managed to reduce the deficits it had been running through initiatives such as a push to increase breakfast sales.
