Aramark has named Mark Bruno president of its Stadiums and Arenas unit. He will have operational responsibility for more than 130 venues across the country and report to Liza Cartmell, group president of Aramark Sports and Entertainment. The appointment is effective October 1, following his completing his responsibilities as vice president of Olympic catering, overseeing Aramark’s catering operations in the Olympic Village and the International Broadcast Center, Main Press Center and Media Villages at the Beijing Summer Games. Bruno, who had management roles with Aramark’s Olympic operations in 1996 (Atlanta), 2000 (Sydney) and 2004 (Athens)—the latter as executive director—will oversee nearly 7,000 international chefs, managers and employees serving more than 3.5 million meals to almost 65,000 athletes, coaches, officials and media members in a 60-day span.
