Aramark Program Encourages B&I Disposables Reduction

Aramark Business Dining unveiled reusable Grab and Go Green bags on Earth Day, April 18 in order to prompt more waste-reducing practices by customers in its B&I operations. “Our proprietary research indicated that a large number of our customers said they ate at their desk when staying inside their building,” says the unit’s executive vice president, Gary Crompton. “We knew we needed to create a green alternative to the take-out trays our guests like to use. Our bags are able to hold both beverages and menu items.” To support the initiative, educational materials will be provided and printed with soy ink on Forest Stewardship Council-approved products.
