The Society of Food Service Management (SFM) has entered into a partnership with the Association Headquarters (AH) association management company based in Mt. Laurel, NJ. The deal was struck after an extensive RFP process and after months of review and discussion, AH was the management group recommended by the RFP committee to the SFM Board of Directors. It has been in the association management business for almost three decades. SFM had been managed by Louisville, KY-based FSA Group.
A transition team led by Dick Hynes, chair of SFM's associate member action committee, has been charged with coordinating the transition from FSA to AH over the next two months. In a communication from SFM President Kathy Sanders sent out in the first week of December, the board expressed gratitude to the staff of FSA Group for their dedication to managing SFM's affairs and, in particular, thanked Mary Gratzer, the FSA staff member who presently serves as SFM's executive director.
