Sodexo has appointed Executive Chef Chazz Alberti as national director of culinary standards for its Leisure Services unit, a newly formed division of Sodexo Corporate Services. Sodexo Leisure Services provides managed services to cultural destinations, conference centers and public venues throughout the U.S. Its clients include Shedd Aquarium, Cincinnati Zoo, Museum of Science and Industry, Dallas Museum of Art, Chumash Casino and RFK Stadium. The company also manages conferencing properties such as Desert Willow and Northpointe Conference Centers.
Alberti's role will be to work with culinary and special event teams on strategic design, development and delivery of culinary solutions that support each venue's cultural mission and identity. He will also continue to support division's focus on integrating sustainable and local products into menus.
Alberti joined Sodexo in 2000 and most recently served as executive chef at the Chase River Center in Wilmington, DE. He began his career during the Philadelphia restaurant renaissance, studying under iconic Philadelphia chef Nicholas Petreuse. He previously held culinary leadership roles at The Sands Hotel and Casino, Le Champignon and Restaurant Mirabelle.
