Washington University in St. Louis has debuted its WebFood pre-order program, reports the Student Life campus paper. WebFood lets students place online orders from food stations in the Danforth University Center at any time of the day or night. They can then pick up the orders between 11 am and 3 pm without having to wait in line. Payment can be made by meal plan or campus card account.
The number of menu items available through Webfood was limited in the early going but has been gradually expanding as the kitchen becomes experienced with the service. More than 280 students opened online WebFood accounts in the first few days of the school year, with daily orders increasing steadily as word of the new service spread across campus.
