Aramark will list on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol ARMK when it goes public for the third time under a planned Initial Public Offering (IPO) of stock. The company had been taken private in 2007 after being publicly held since 2001 under the symbol RMK and trading on the NYSE. Before that, the company, which was founded in 1936, was publicly traded as ARA (Automatic Retailers of America) between 1960 and 1984. It changed its name to Aramark in 1994.
