The one-acre Shippensburg University farm has produced more than 600 pounds of organic produce for the school's dining services, as well a nearby public middle school and a community outreach organization, reports Chambersburg Public Opinion. The farm, which was started in 2012, provides students with hands-on learning about organic agricultural practices and offers the campus as well as the larger community an example of sustainable farming.
