New Dining Approach Means More Muscle, Less Fat for NFL's Vikings

There are now fewer fried foods and cream-based recipes and no more sugary cereals or sodas.

The NFL's Minnesota Vikings have embraced a much more nutrition oriented approach to team meals than before under their new head coach, reports local news station KARE11. There are now fewer fried foods and cream-based recipes and no more sugary cereals or sodas, while players can get personalized smoothies with fresh fruits or even vegetables like broccoli or spinach at a new "fuel bar." The result has been a collective loss of 170 pounds of fat off team waistlines and a gain of 70 pounds of muscle, according to one team representative.
