Tropical Macaroon Iced Coffee
“It has a heavy coconut flavor and a hint of pineapple. You could also add Mandarin orange syrup. Chocolate Tropical Macaroon was a dessert one night and I said wouldn’t that be great as a coffee drink? Topped with toasted coconut and whipped cream. Absolutely delicious!”
Iced Energy Mate
“Yerba Mate has an exceedingly long list of health benefits that can be compared to no other brewed beverage and has less caffeine than normal tea,” Dorsey says. Here, it’s blended with cinnamon and cloves, guarana and ginger. “Even though it doesn’t give you a caffeine lift, it gives you a lift from the other ingredients,” Dorsey says. “The glass straw is something that’s our solution to cutting down on plastic and is also a signature touch.”
Yerba Juicy Mate
Yerba mate/juice drink mixes. Since Yerba Mate has a slightly bitter taste, blending it with juice is the perfect solution. It’s mixed half-and-half with juices. (Left to right) Mate & Grape; Mate and Cranberry; Mate and Fruit Punch; Mate and Orange-Guava.
Green Tea Smoothie
“We use various berries for this: strawberry, blackberries. You could blend it with many different fresh fruits. It’s a really versatile recipe. And it tastes phenomenal,” Dorsey says.
Sweet Southern Style Tulsi Tea with Lavender and Lime
“This is our answer to sweet tea. The tulsi leaves are closely related to basil. This is a light fantastically refreshing tea with tons of healthy benefits and it’s naturally caffeine free. Perfect for southern-style sweet tea drinkers.” The lavender amps up the floral flavor even more. “With the elderly, many of them want a caffeine-free option that’s light and refreshing.” You can also add rose hips.
Salted Butterscotch Iced Coffee
“It’s a different take on salted caramel lattes. Butterscotch syrup gives it a different flavor. With strong coffee and milk and a little salt in the drink, with additional sprinkle of salt on top of the whipped cream give it a really different flavor,” says Cris Frank. A fun idea would be to use a pretzel rod as a garnish.
Mint Chocolate Tea
“This is also made with yerba mate in a blend with Dutch pressed cocoa powder, combined with a mint tea. It’s like a peppermint patty. It’s fantastic. You can add cream optionally.”
Black Raspberry Spritzer
Blackberry or black raspberry syrup, ice, soda water and the juice of one lemon. “This has a refreshing taste,” Frank says. “It starts out sweet and gets tart. Out of all the drinks we made, when people tasted this one they were like, ‘Wow that’s delicious!’ It’s a little lighter and crisper, great for a really hot day.”
Chilled Alaskan Mocha
This very special float is half drink, half dessert.
