Gourmet Services began in 1975 as a campus dining services provider to half a dozen historically black colleges, and this segment remains a core business source with accounts like Hampton University, Huston-Tillotson University and Bethune-Cookman University.
Expansion into other segments like K-12 schools, corporate dining, airport concessions, vending and golf course management followed in the subsequent decades, and these segments now generate a little more than half the company’s revenues.
Gourmet Services emphasizes recognizable branded concepts in its operations and has forged relationships with such popular foodservice brands as Domino’s, McDonald’s, Subway, Cinnabon, Popeye’s and Chick-fil-A.
