CBORD Acquired

The CBORD Group, Inc., has been acquired by Roper Industries, Inc. in a transaction valued at $367 million. CBORD provides integrated transaction solutions to more than 6,000 organizations around the world, including 750 colleges and universities, 1,700 major healthcare licensees and numerous corporate campuses, supermarkets, theme parks and dining chains.

The business will continue as to operate as CBORD within Roper's RF Technology unit, and market its products and services under its current brand names. CBORD's management team, led by Tim Tighe, will continue to head the business as part of Roper.

“CBORD is an ideal acquisition for Roper that meets all of our key criteria,” says Roper Chairman/President/CEO Brian Jellison. “The company enjoys leadership in its core markets with brand name recognition, long-term relationships with high customer retention, the broadest suite of integrated applications, and a reputation for quality service.”

Enodis Announces Promotions

Enodis has named Kevin Fink and Peter MacFarland presidents of its Ice Group Americas and Merco units, respectively. Fink will also continue to serve as president of Ice-O-Matic and hold the interim position of president of Scotsman until a permanent appointment is made. MacFarland had been vice president of sales and marketing for Garland, another Enodis unit.

In addition, the company promoted Caitlin Rodgers to director of marketing for Enodis USA and Melinda Gilbert has been promoted to director of marketing at Enodis unit Lincoln Foodservice Products. Rodgers joined Enodis in 2003 as director of marketing communications. Gilbert had been head of marketing for the Merco Savory brand.

Carlisle Acquires Dinex

Carlisle Foodservice Products has acquired Dinex International, a leading supplier of meal delivery systems for the healthcare segment. Dinex will continue to operate as a separate company with President Jack Bridwell continuing in his role.

Dinex’s product line includes traytop smallwares (flatware, dishware, disposable lids, etc.) and food heating and rethermalization equipment as well as complete meal delivery systems designed for patient feeding applications in both long-term-care and acture care settings. Carlisle makes light equipment and supplies for foodservice and sanitation customers.
