Baylor University’s A-List Dinner series is a monthly pop-up event that breaks the monotony. The latest dinner poked fun at stereotypical college student fare.
The dining team gets the word out about the A-List dinners with these easy-to-notice door hang menus.
The starter course or amuse bouche of the evening was this outrageous spin on the classic PB&J.
Good ol’ ramen and pizza
The centerpieces set the tone. But the actual ramen served for the soup course was much fancier than this dorm-room-microwave cup. It was upgraded to a pork belly ramen bowl.
The main course was so clever: pepperoni pizza-stuffed chicken with potatoes dauphinoise and broccoli.
The shots here were milk, the perfect pairing to go with cookies.
This was the showstopper of the evening, according to Aramark Marketing Director Seth Huerta. “You know when you’re eating cereal, and the milk at the end…?” Huerta says. “We soaked Fruity Pebbles in cream overnight, drained out most of the cereal pieces, then froze it into ice cream. The kids went crazy.”
Overall, the evening was perfect, Huerta says. “I think they were a little wary at first, with the student food theme, but we made it more fun and creative than anything else.”
