UNH Dining recently installed a food station free of eight major food allergens plus gluten, and plans to expand this offering to all three of its dining halls. It also removed the fryers from its grill station, preparing more from scratch items, offering healthier portions and introducing more plant-based options.

Also notable is the Farm to UNH partnership, which allows for year round, campus-grown produce to be served in the dining halls and retail locations. This program also provides an educational experience for the College of Life Science & Agriculture students who work closely with the farmers as part of their course study.

UNH Dining also continues to demonstrate their commitment to sustainability in ways such as adopting the Slow Fish Principles to bring local, under-utilized seafood to the dining halls, switching to reusable to-go containers and making local food purchases in excess of 24% of yearly purchases.
