University of Kentucky debuts $32 million dining hall

“Meet me at the 90” has always been a common catchphrase among University of Kentucky (UK) students. It refers to a spot on the Lexington campus where two roads—Hilltop and Woodland Ave.—intersect, forming a perfect right angle.

Previously, there were residence halls and meeting areas here. But in September 2014, Aramark replaced those facilities and broke ground on a new dining facility aptly named The 90.

The 82,000-square-foot, $32 million building is part of a 15-year partnership between UK and Aramark. (As part of the partnership, Aramark is funding nearly $70 million in new and renovated facilities for dining services across UK's campus.)

Less than a year after construction began, the new dining hall debuted to students.

There are multiple dining options inside The 90. The residential restaurant, Fresh Food Company, has 10 stations to choose from including a Mongolian grill, fresh bakery, produce bar, gluten-free station and fresh pizza. Additionally, there are various retail locations including, Taco Bell, OVID’S, Aqua Sushi, La Madeleine Country French Café and Wildcat Pantry.
