McCune-Brooks Hospital in Carthage, MO, has launched a room service dining program that is reportedly the only such service within a 200 mile radius, reports Gatehouse News Service. Managed by Aramark, the initiative allows patients to call down between 7:30 am and 6:30 pm with orders from a menu they receive upon admittance. Delivery is guarateed within 30 minutes. Visitors can join patients for $3 a breakfast meal (served all day) or $4 for a lunch or dinner.
Breakfast choices include various hot and cold cereals, baked goods and traditional hot selections like eggs, bacon, pancakes, home fries, French toast and breakfast sandwiches. The lunch and dinner menu includes salads, hot and cold sandwiches, pizza and comfort food type entrees like mac and cheese, baked chicken and Salisbury steak.
