Sodexo Opts Out of Columbus Schools Contract

Sodexo will exercise an opt-out clause in its contract with the Columbus City Schools on December 21, reports the Columbus Dispatch. The company's deal included a provision requiring it to pay any program deficit but to take up to 7.5 percent of any "profit," but USDA rules now prohibit such an arrangement in the district, where the bulk of revenues come from federal reimbursements.
