Revolution Foods serves more than 300,000 freshly prepared meals made with natural (organic and/or locally sourced where possible) ingredients daily in 25 cities in California, Colorado, Louisiana, Texas, New York, New Jersey and Washington, DC.
The meals, prepared in seven regional central kitchens, are either served in the cafeterias or from vending machines and the company augments the healthy message with educational materials and services.
The company’s retail Meal Kit line of packaged healthy prepared meals is now sold through more than 2,000 grocery stores, including units of major chains like Whole Foods and Safeway.
Revolution Foods launched its program with the Oakland City Schools in 2006. Today, major clients include the Washington, DC, Public Schools and the San Francisco USD, for which the company provides all elementary school meals and some for higher grades.
